Hachiko : A Dog Story

I've been avoiding to watch this movie for 2 years! My friend did recommend me to watch it in 2010 but I refused to since I know I would be weeping watching this kind of heart warming story. Finally today, I watched it on Astro and like what I expected, I cried watching almost every scene! It really breaks my heart. How the love and loyalty of a dog can be so great. Waiting for his owner for 9 years until he himself died of waiting. Keep thinking about Hachi and I'm sure I'm gonna be emotionally ruined for days!

As taken from goggle :

This heartwarming true story is an American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.

Super touching, especially the scene where after waiting so many years for his owner, Hachiko finally sees him at rainbow bridge and they are united together. This show displays how faithful a dog can be, they can be such a good companion(sometimes more human) and they deserve our utmost respect.

See, animals do have feelings too and at times their love supersedes us the humans. This movie makes me love and treasure my cats more and more...

p/s : Trying hard to forget about this sad movie and move on with my life happily (hopefully)
